The original
Florida Aquarium Lobby Stingray Touch Tank was closed and
dismantled August 13th, 2006. The New Lobby Viewing &
Touch Tank will be constructed and ready by March 2007.
The 2nd. Floor No
Bones Zone is still open for kids of all ages! |

In Mid-August 2006
The Florida Aquarium added a new attraction: Penguins!
These little
Black Footed South African Penguins were just 17 weeks old,
and already very large, when they first appeared in the
Aquarium Lobby. They were born in the Baltimore
Zoo, and now reside permanently at the Florida Aquarium.
The original location for the show was upstairs on the 2nd
floor of the lobby, but the show is now downstairs, where the
lobby stingray touch tank was.
Eventually, a permanent exhibit will be built for them. |
